The images we see have all had great consequences for a large group of people, sometimes even on a global scale. Sometimes because the event itself directly influenced their lives (mostly in a negative way), other times simply because they were broadcasted and widespread, and therefore had a major influence. By freezing the frame just before the major event that’s about to happen in the image takes place, ThomK prevents it from happening in the image. The paradox is clear, because in all these situations we know what happened next – freezing the frames didn’t change that, only within the image itself.
