The most magical moments in life happen on that crossroad of not expecting something and being whirled away by its phantom force. We never expected to meet someone like Rolf, let alone of what would entail. Our lives collided on our flight to São Paulo and meeting him was something of a beautiful explosion. Pushing forty and on the edge of reason Rolf confesses to us that he is looking for his father. With nothing to loose he packed up his life in the Netherlands and went on a search for his elusive parent. And as luck would have it our paths crossed.

Rolf’s magnetic lunacy was inflaming. We went along and got sucked in his frenzy. His clues were our clues. His footsteps were our guidelines. And this brought us to the Joelma building. A place where Rolf’s father was possibly seen last. Was he dead, was he alive? A question that remains unanswered. Searching through the history’s pages we found even more disturbing events that happened on this site. And as it goes every story, in the culmination of all the events past and present, we lost Rolf. He disappeared without a word only leaving a giant mind map in his hotel room, decorated with beer bottles, cigarette buts, trash and crazed thoughts.

What is left to do is to lay this event to rest. Let the sweet waves of slumber transform the tragedy.
